Guru Chökyi Wangchuk, also known as Guru Chöwang, was one of the five treasure-revealing kings (gter ston rgyal po lnga) and a scion of the Southern Treasures. He is known for his illuminating treatise on the phenomenon of treasure (gter), known as Guru Chöwang’s Great Treasure Account (gu ru chos dbang gi gter ’byung chen mo), and for his revelations: Lama Sangdu and Kabgye Sangwa Yongzok, amongst others.
